Size Planning

Start with the project, then choose the container.

Dumpster size is about more than volume. Debris weight, material type, placement space and access all affect the best choice.

10yard class

Good for lighter, smaller jobs

Single-room cleanouts, small tear-outs and compact projects where placement space is limited.

20yard class

A versatile mid-size option

Garage cleanouts, renovation debris, flooring projects and many residential jobs.

30yard class

For larger-volume projects

Whole-home cleanouts, larger remodels and construction work with bulky debris.

40yard class

For high-volume cleanup

Major property cleanouts and large construction projects where material volume is substantial.

Important size note

The size classes above are planning examples. Actual inventory, container dimensions, weight allowances and accepted materials are confirmed during booking. Heavy debris can require a smaller or specialized container even when its volume is low.

Before You Choose

Four questions help narrow the right size.

  • What type of material are you disposing of?
  • How much debris do you expect?
  • How much room is available for placement?
  • Will your project generate unusually heavy material?

Household debris

Often driven by volume and bulky items such as furniture, boxes and general cleanout material.

Construction debris

Can combine high volume with dense materials, making weight allowances especially important.

Heavy debris

Concrete, masonry, soil and similar materials may require special handling and should always be discussed before booking.
